Welcome to Our Early Years

Foundation Stage Curriculum

At Pitter Patter we believe that the earliest years of a child’s life are the most precious and formative. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is designed to provide a nurturing, engaging, and play-based environment that fosters a love of learning, creativity, and exploration.

Our Approach

Our EYFS curriculum is built around the 7 areas of learning, which are essential for
a child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

  1. Communication and Language: Developing verbal and non-verbal skills to express thoughts, needs, and wants.
  2. Physical Development: Building gross and fine motor skills through movement, exploration, and play.
  3. Personal, Social and Emotional Development: Nurturing self-awareness, self regulation, and relationships.
  4. Literacy: Reading, writing, and understanding the world of words.
  5. Mathematics: Exploring numbers, shapes, and patterns to build a strong foundation in mathematics.
  6. Understanding the World: Discovering the natural world, communities, and technologies through exploration and inquiry.
  7.  Expressive Arts and Design: Exploring creativity through art, music, drama, and design.
